#WINNING #TRUEGOALS
Hello Jewels. It has been ages since I wrote here.
The writer’s block is much more real than I thought. I never quite understood
it.
Anyway, for the next few weeks I shall be sharing on
a series that has been sparked by events that have occurred in my life in the
past few months.
In our current generation, we spend a lot of time
putting up a façade (using photos and hash tags) to show others that our
relationships with God and man are doing just fine even when that is not the
case. In this series, however, we shall discuss how we can build a thriving, abounding and loving relationship with God (and
hopefully we can pick up principles to apply in our human relationships). (Build because it is intentional,
requires effort, time and nurturing for this to happen).
True goals and winning in this life is, among other things, about building a good
relationship with God. Now, I am no authority in how to relate with the
almighty but I will just share a few things that the Lord has impressed upon
me in regard to walking with Him. I do believe that as in the physical, so in the spiritual. This is to mean
that; there are principles that apply in the physical that can help us to grow
in the spiritual aspect.
For example; a child grows, from a tiny fetus in the
womb to an adult in the physical. Likewise, the spiritual man grows from being
a babe to a grown man in Christ.
That said; I believe that our relationships,
particularly love relationships (am talking Man and Woman) here on earth can
teach us a lot about how we may grow and nurture our relationship with The
Lord.
The Collins dictionary defines a relationship as the
way in which 2 people or groups connect with each other. Also, the way they
feel and behave toward each other.
So, a relationship can be good and thriving; bad (in
the case where the parties involved are indifferent); or nonexistent (the
parties involved do not even want contact with each other).
Dear jewel, what is the current state of your
relationship with God?
What would you desire it to actually be?
James
4:8a says, Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.
If that is your desire, then let’s meet here next Friday.
Meanwhile,
Live Light!!
